Challenging times call for necessary change. As Minneapolis navigated, and continues to navigate, the injustices with police brutality over a summer of unrest and uprising, Pillsbury United Communities and Pollen Midwest wanted to state the obvious: money talks and allocation matters. Clear disparities in where the city budget is distributed required a design that showed how taxpayers money was being spent. Melanie Walby showcased the major differences of where health and law enforcement differ. Pollen Midwest wanted the word to get out in a grassroots movement. My screen printing was commissioned to advocate for change, and Melanie’s design went from the digital realm to the corners of various blocks in Minneapolis.
