Tu Lucha es Mi Lucha

Client: Highpoint Center for Printmaking
Service: Art Direction, Design, Illustration, Lettering
Team: Mónica Sofía

Highpoint commissioned guest curators Ellen Y. Tani and Esther Callahan to create a gallery of work that reflected the response to the murder of George Floyd in the summer of 2020. Tu lucha es mi lucha (your fight is my fight) is a phrase that reflects the struggles and challenges my community has endured and how my fight is in solidarity with the oppression so many deal with in Minnesota and across the U.S. The lettering and colors are an homage to my home and to how even in dark times, our colors need to shine above those who oppress our communities.
